Pop Evil’s return to Pennsylvania on the What Remains Tour came to Capitol City Music Hall in Harrisburg on April 7, and Leigh Kakaty and company were greeted by a rowdy crowd ready to make some noise. The band is no stranger to the touring scene and has been actively grinding in the genre since 2001, but has found massive success in recent years behind their latest effort What Remains, which features their heaviest and most personal material yet.
The What Remains Tour saw the band delivering a powerhouse setlist that wasted absolutely no time getting the crowd moving. Opening with “Eye of the Storm” and barreling straight into “Trenches,” the band then tore through “Deathwalk,” “Wishful Thinking,” “Paranoid (Crash & Burn),” “Criminal,” “Work,” “Side Effects,” “Skeletons,” “Deal With the Devil,” “Let the Chaos Reign,” “What Remains,” and “Waking Lions” before closing out the night with an encore of “Torn to Pieces,” “Breathe Again,” and “Footsteps.” Mosh pits broke out more than once across the floor of Capitol City, a testament to just how hard this band hits live.
Pop Evil are no strangers to live performances and leave it all on the stage whether they are headlining, playing a small support gig, or are part of a massive festival. From start to finish the band commanded the stage at Capitol City Music Hall and left the crowd stunned with their incredibly tight performance, fans singing along for the entirety of the set. With eight albums of material to pull from, every moment of the setlist felt purposeful – a greatest-hits-meets-new-chapter showcase that proved just how deep their catalog of charting singles runs.
Pop Evil’s climb to prominence has been anything but overnight, but that journey has shaped them into the band they are today – one that fills rooms across Pennsylvania and well beyond. Fresh off one of the strongest albums of their career, 2026 is shaping up to be another defining year for Leigh Kakaty and company, and if the Harrisburg crowd is any indication, the people are more than ready for it
