Ice Nine Kills are taking the films behind their music back to the big screen this October. The band has partnered with AMC Theatres and Bloody Disgusting for “Welcome to Horrorwood,” a five-film series scheduled for approximately 300 AMC locations across the United States.
Announced September 16, the series opens October 2 with Hostel and runs through Halloween. The lineup also includes Friday the 13th, American Psycho, Pet Sematary and The Crow, with each screening pairing a feature film with material from the band.
Every presentation will begin with a custom introduction from frontman Spencer Charnas. After the movie, audiences will see the corresponding Ice Nine Kills music video inspired by that film. All screenings are scheduled for 8 p.m. local time as part of AMC’s Thrills & Chills programming.
The series draws from ‘The Silver Scream’ and ‘The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood,’ the albums that placed horror movies at the center of the band’s music and visual storytelling. The AMC screenings put those influences first, allowing audiences to watch the source material before seeing how Ice Nine Kills reinterpreted it in a music video.
“It’s a bloody honor to present this selection of modern horror classics with the mighty AMC Theatres and our friends at Bloody Disgusting,” Charnas said in the announcement. “Metal music and marquee movie mayhem. What more could we ask for this October?”
Ryan Wood, AMC’s senior vice president and head film buyer, said the partnership fits the company’s plans for horror programming during the Halloween season.
“Horror has long been a favorite among moviegoers, especially during the Halloween season, and we’re always looking for new ways to give fans more opportunities to enjoy these films on the big screen at AMC,” Wood said. “These are movies people know and love, and it’s exciting to bring them back to theatres in a unique way.”

The first four films will each screen on a Friday and the following Tuesday. The final week makes an exception for Halloween: The Crow plays Friday, October 30, then returns Saturday, October 31. The schedule identifies the 1980 Friday the 13th, the 1989 Pet Sematary and the 1994 The Crow.
Ice Nine Kills’ expanding horror collaborations
The AMC series follows several Ice Nine Kills projects connected to established horror franchises. “A Work of Art” appeared in Terrifier 3, while “Twisting the Knife,” featuring Mckenna Grace, appeared in Scream 7. “Hell or High Slaughter (Grave Diggler Pt. 2)” was featured in Ready or Not 2: Here I Come.
The band also composed an original score for Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights 2026 attraction “Terror Tram starring Art the Clown,” reworking Christmas songs for Art’s takeover of the Universal backlot. Their horror collaborations have extended into games, with “Play Dead” tied to Dead by Daylight and Charnas announced as a voice actor for Halloween: The Game.
Tickets for “Welcome to Horrorwood” are on sale through AMC’s website and the AMC mobile app. The announcement specifies discounted AMC Fan Faves pricing. The series begins with Hostel on October 2 and October 6, with both screenings starting at 8 p.m. local time.
