Aerosmith will return to the stage at the Hollywood Bowl on October 29 and November 1, 2026, with a guest lineup that includes The Black Crowes, Run DMC and Heart. Billed as California, Dream On, the two Aerosmith & Friends concerts will celebrate the band’s catalog with different combinations of musicians appearing each night.
The announcement follows a period when another Aerosmith concert was far from certain. On August 2, 2024, the band announced its retirement from touring after Steven Tyler’s vocal injury prevented the planned continuation of the Peace Out farewell tour. In their statement, the musicians said Tyler had spent months working toward a recovery with medical support before they reached the decision to stop touring.
The Hollywood Bowl engagement puts Aerosmith back on the calendar for two nights, with fellow performers sharing the bill. Billy Idol, Slash, Duff McKagan, Jerry Cantrell, Mike Inez, Chad Smith, Sammy Hagar and Tom Morello are among the announced participants. Don Was will serve as music director.
Run DMC’s appearance connects the celebration to one of Aerosmith’s best known collaborations. The band marked the 40th anniversary of their shared recording of “Walk This Way” in July 2026. Their inclusion places that partnership alongside appearances by musicians from several generations of rock, as well as country artist Eric Church and guitarist Marcus King.
The wider bill also includes Andrew Watt, Nuno Bettencourt, Pat Monahan, Steve Stevens, Sully Erna, Adam Wakeman, Audley Freed and Kenny Aronoff. Organizers plan to announce further guests and surprise appearances before the concerts.
Fans choosing between the two dates should note that the announced roster does not represent an identical lineup for both performances. Guests will vary by night, and the final nightly lineups are expected at or near showtime. The lineup remains subject to change.
A portion of proceeds will benefit Steven Tyler’s Janie’s Fund. Created in partnership with Youth Villages, the initiative supports girls who have experienced abuse and neglect, helping fund services addressing the effects of that trauma.
General ticket sales begin Saturday, October 10 at 10 a.m. PDT. Citi cardmembers will have presale access beginning Thursday, October 8 at 10 a.m. PDT, continuing through Friday, October 9 at 10 a.m. PDT. VIP upgrades will also be available, with contents varying by package.
Tickets and VIP options for both performances are available through the official Aerosmith & Friends event site.
