Slaughter To Prevail vocalist Alex Terrible has defended the way he responds to negative comments online, arguing that artists should not be expected to remain silent when people insult or provoke them publicly. While making his case, Terrible said he understands Falling in Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke “better than most people.”
The comments appeared in two posts published on September 12 and later deleted. The PRP preserved screenshots and a transcription before the posts disappeared.
Terrible described a cycle in which someone leaves an insulting comment on an artist’s page, the artist responds or shares the comment, and the response is then framed as bullying because the artist has a much larger audience. He questioned why the original commenter should be protected from a public reaction after choosing to make the criticism publicly.
“I’m a human being just like everyone else,” Terrible wrote. He said he accepts responsibility for his own words and understands that anything posted publicly can attract agreement, criticism or ridicule. His argument was that the same expectation should apply to anyone who confronts another person online.
Terrible also pushed back against the idea that an artist is responsible for every response made by that artist’s followers. He maintained that people have the freedom to criticize him, but not the ability to control how he or other users react to what they posted.
The comparison with Radke comes from more than their reputations for answering critics. Radke publicly supported Terrible during an earlier controversy in August 2023, according to The PRP’s previous reporting. Both vocalists have continued to face intense criticism surrounding their statements and online conduct.
They later collaborated on Falling in Reverse’s “Ronald,” which also features Tech N9ne. The single was released in May 2024 and subsequently appeared on Falling in Reverse’s album 'Popular Monster'. Terrible also appeared in the official video alongside Radke and Tech N9ne.
Terrible’s September 12 posts were no longer available when The PRP published its report. The outlet did not cite a public response from Radke to the new comments.
