Metallica has expanded the M72 World Tour with 12 North American stadium concerts for 2027, with Limp Bizkit and Avatar supporting the entire run. The newly announced dates begin May 8 at Vancouver’s BC Place and finish June 19 at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City.
Each city will get a single concert. Metallica’s announcement keeps the tour’s production in the round, positioning the stage at midfield with the standing Snake Pit section inside it. The format gives fans one night to catch the bill at each stop, with both supporting bands appearing throughout the itinerary.
M72 began in April 2023. In announcing the extension on September 16, 2026, Metallica counted 99 performances across 26 countries. The stadium leg will follow the band’s scheduled Life Burns Faster residency at Sphere in Las Vegas, whose announced dates extend through March 13, 2027. The new routing includes professional sports stadiums and college venues, with stops at Fayetteville’s Razorback Stadium, Raleigh’s Carter-Finley Stadium and Madison’s Camp Randall Stadium.
Fans planning to attend several cities will have another ticket option. The returning “I Disappear” pass covers the 2027 North American M72 stadium dates, although it does not include the Sphere residency, festivals or benefits. Enhanced Experience packages will also be available, with options including early entry, Snake Pit access, stage tours and meet and greets. Hotel and travel packages are planned for every stop.
Fan club ticket access begins Monday, September 21, with separate start times for the two membership groups. Legacy Members can enter the presale at 10 AM local time, followed by Fifth Members at noon. Members must request a personal presale code. The standard limit is six tickets per person, per city, while Snake Pit and meet and greet tickets have a limit of four.
Other presales follow throughout the week. Citi cardmembers can purchase beginning September 22 at 10 AM local time, except in Vancouver. Verizon Access starts at the same time, excluding Vancouver, Raleigh and Madison. Live Nation and SiriusXM presales begin September 24 at 10 AM local time. The band’s presale schedule outlines eligibility and additional options before the general sale opens Friday, September 25, at 10 AM local time.
A portion of proceeds from every ticket sold will support local charities through Metallica’s All Within My Hands foundation.
