Linkin Park are back in the studio, with Joe Hahn confirming that another full album is part of the band's plans after From Zero. The update comes as Unshatter, his documentary about their return, prepares to reach cinemas on September 30, 2026.
Speaking to NME, Hahn described a band that had continued exploring ideas while on the road. Days without a show sometimes became opportunities to visit a studio and try things out. After touring, the members took a month away before returning to work. As Hahn put it, “but then we jumped right back into the studio.” He attributed that interest in making music to how much they enjoy creating together.
Hahn also discussed the role of experimentation, explaining that the group deliberately moves away from familiar territory when developing material. Asked whether listeners could expect another complete album, he answered yes before joking about making something boring and divisive. That exchange offered no album title or release date, leaving the shape and timing of the next record open.
From Zero arrived on November 15, 2024, with vocalist Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain joining the band for its return. A deluxe edition followed on May 16, 2025. The new sessions extend that period of activity beyond the album that introduced the revised lineup.
The process leading to that return is the subject of Unshatter. The film follows Linkin Park from studio sessions in 2022 through the From Zero release concert in São Paulo in November 2024. Archive footage, performances and interviews with members and fans trace how the group began working together again after the death of Chester Bennington. Its focus includes the relationships among the remaining members and the arrival of Armstrong and Brittain.

The accompanying Unshatter Film Soundtrack (Live in São Paulo) was released September 25. It draws from the band's catalog across different eras and includes live recordings that do not appear in the film, giving listeners a separate document of the performances surrounding the comeback.
