Motionless In White’s “Another Life” has earned Silver certification in the United Kingdom. The BPI award, dated September 25, 2026, recognizes the song reaching 200,000 UK units from combined sales and streams.
The track first appeared on Disguise, released through Roadrunner Records on June 7, 2019. Its selection as a single followed the album’s release and the response from listeners, with Chris Motionless explaining that the band wanted fans’ feedback to determine which song received the next push.
“The fans have overwhelmingly spoken,” the vocalist said in the announcement accompanying its December 2019 video. He described “Another Life” as the band’s favorite track on Disguise and emphasized its personal significance. That made the selection a meeting point between what the musicians valued most on the record and what their audience wanted to hear more of. The statement was reported by Blabbermouth.
Director Max Moore handled the official music video, released on December 4, 2019, giving the song a dedicated visual several months after its album debut.
The UK award measures the song’s accumulated commercial performance. BPI uses Official Charts Company data to certify eligible recordings automatically when they reach the relevant threshold, including qualifying streaming activity. Silver is the 200,000 unit level for singles, with Gold at 400,000 and Platinum at 600,000.
Motionless In White also returned to “Another Life” in a different musical setting. On August 10, 2020, they released Another Life/Eternally Yours: Motion Picture Collection, an EP that rebuilt the two songs around piano and orchestral arrangements. Kerli joined Chris Motionless on the new “Another Life,” turning it into a duet. Justin Deblieck produced the project, with Steve Sopchack handling the mix.
The band said the break from touring had given them an opportunity to attempt something new. They changed the song’s instrumentation and added a second vocal perspective. The EP also included an instrumental version of the reworked “Another Life,” presenting the piano and strings without the vocals.
