Staind Set “Ghosts” Streaming Release for October 14

1 min read

Staind will release their new single “Ghosts” on October 14, 2026. The band announced the song on Facebook on October 13, pairing its title and release date with a link offering fans an early preview.

The new music follows Confessions of the Fallen, released through Alchemy Recordings/BMG on September 22, 2023. That album ended a 12 year gap between Staind studio releases and established a different way of working together. At the time, vocalist Aaron Lewis explained that the musicians exchanged ideas rather than spending months together in a studio, giving the songs time to develop between contributions.

Guitarist Mike Mushok discussed their next record with Donny Fandango of 105.7 The Point in an interview published May 18, 2026. Although he initially described the album as finished, he clarified that his demo guitar and bass parts still needed to be replaced before mixing. He expected the record to arrive in 2027, while leaving that timing tentative.

Mushok said the band had reused the process developed for Confessions of the Fallen. Returning to writing after a lengthy break had made him anxious during the previous album, but the next sessions felt more familiar. “It actually went pretty smoothly,” he told Fandango.

The “Ghosts” announcement does not identify a parent album or connect the song to the ninth studio record Mushok discussed.

Ahead of its streaming release, fans can access the band’s “Ghosts” preview signup. The page requests a phone number and states that the song will be available on all streaming platforms on October 14.
