Marilyn Manson Opens Antichrist Superstar Reissue Preorders

1 min read

Marilyn Manson is revisiting Antichrist Superstar with a remastered 30th anniversary edition that pairs the album with material from his personal archive. Preorders are open for the Waxwork Records release, with vinyl and cassette editions planned.

The accompanying booklet draws on notebooks Manson kept during the album’s era. It reproduces handwritten lyrics and sketches alongside previously unpublished photographs, placing the writing and imagery from that period beside the finished record. Waxwork’s edition includes a booklet spanning 28 pages and measuring 12 inches square.

The label’s vinyl pressing spreads the album across two records in midnight blue with iridescent gold and green haze. Gatefold packaging houses the records, with a separate color insert and lyric sheet also included. The cassette edition comes in a brick color with a slip sleeve.

Originally released on October 8, 1996, Antichrist Superstar was Marilyn Manson’s second studio album. Its songs include “The Beautiful People” and “Tourniquet,” both of which remain part of the anniversary edition. The official video for “The Beautiful People” captures another part of the album’s original visual identity.

For collectors, the anniversary release also includes a separate Revolver exclusive pressing. That version uses clear vinyl with a black smoke effect and is limited to 2,000 copies. The limit applies specifically to that variant.

Waxwork Records is accepting preorders and expects shipping to begin in January 2027.
