Lita Ford’s next album has found a home at Frontiers Music Srl, with “Dracula” set to introduce it on October 27, 2026. The single gives a release date to a project she’s been discussing for several years.
Gary Hoey produced the track, which features performances by Ford and Hoey with Bobby Rock on drums. Max Norman handled the mix. Ford has shared a teaser on Instagram ahead of the release.
Finding the right people to release the music mattered to Ford as much as finishing it. “I needed the perfect team to make that happen,” she said in the signing announcement, describing the project as a “magical dark fairytale album.” During an April appearance on SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk, she had said the record was finished and explained that she wanted a team committed to supporting it.
Hoey’s involvement continues a partnership that helped shape 2012’s Living Like a Runaway. In a 2012 interview with go.Jimmy.go, Ford recalled accepting his invitation to record at his New Hampshire studio. One productive visit led to another, and the songs they assembled helped secure that album’s deal with SPV. She then returned roughly every two weeks to write and record, building the material through time spent playing together.
For the forthcoming record, Ford has described an overarching theme that connects the songs. She told Get On The Bus in January that she wanted listeners to experience the whole album, even if singles and videos were how they first encountered it. She pointed to Alice Cooper’s Welcome to My Nightmare and Deep Purple’s In Rock as records she grew up listening to from beginning to end.
The album also extends beyond the musicians credited on “Dracula.” In her April conversation with Eddie Trunk, Ford discussed a duet with Doro Pesch and a separate song she wrote with Jean Beauvoir. Those collaborations belong to the broader album project; neither was announced as part of the new single.
A presave for “Dracula” is available ahead of its release. The album’s title and release date have not yet been announced.
