Hatebreed have released the official video for “The Carrion Choir,” adding another song to the leadup to Fatal Paradox. Released September 30, the track is the fourth single from their ninth studio album, which arrives November 6, 2026, through BLKIIBLK. The record will be their first since 2020’s Weight of the False Self.
The band began introducing this material with “Make The Demons Obey” in July 2025. “Kill Count Increase” followed alongside the album announcement in July 2026, with the title track arriving in August. “The Carrion Choir” follows “Kill Count Increase” in the album’s running order, placing the two singles at the beginning of the record.
That extended introduction has given Hatebreed time between releasing individual songs and putting the full album into listeners’ hands. Guitarist Frank Novinec discussed the flexibility of that approach in a February interview with Hardlore, reported by Blabbermouth. Even with a record largely finished, he explained, the space between singles could allow the band to reconsider parts, change something they disliked or write another song. He said the group was happy with “Make The Demons Obey” and expected proper music videos to follow.
For Fatal Paradox, Hatebreed returned to producer Chris “Zeuss” Harris. When the band announced its signing to BLKIIBLK in June, vocalist Jamey Jasta described that working relationship as one of his favorite parts of making the album. His connection with Zeuss stretched back to their earlier bands, giving the sessions a familiarity that Jasta valued when developing new material.
“He’s been like a sixth member of this band for years,” Jasta said in the signing announcement.
Jasta described the musicians and producer celebrating together whenever they improved a song or found a part that excited them. He singled out “Decisions Become Destinies” while discussing that process, connecting the new material to the trust established over their years of collaboration. The album marks Hatebreed’s first release for BLKIIBLK, with Zeuss continuing a relationship that predates the label change.
The 11 song record also includes a guest appearance from Obituary vocalist John Tardy on “Sacrifice Season.” It closes with a cover of Corrosion of Conformity’s “Poison Planet.” Album preorders are available through the band’s official release page.
Hatebreed’s confirmed live schedule extends into 2027 with five previously announced stadium appearances supporting Slipknot. Those shows include Wembley Stadium in London on July 3, followed by September dates in Buenos Aires, Santiago, Lima and Bogotá.
Before the album’s release, Hatebreed are scheduled to play Furnace Fest in Birmingham, Alabama, on October 10.
