Five Finger Death Punch premiered the official music video for “Legacy” on September 18, 2026, returning attention to their tenth studio album’s opening track as its vinyl, CD and cassette editions arrived.
Legacy was released digitally on July 31 through Better Noise Music. The 10 song album followed the band’s two collections of rerecorded hits, turning from revisiting earlier material to a new studio record. “Eye Of The Storm,” “De Oppresso Liber” and “Nails In The Coffin” introduced different parts of the album before the title track received its own video.
Guitarist Zoltan Bathory described the record in the June announcement as a reflection on the experiences accumulated over the band’s career, including the relationship between the musicians and their audience. Vocalist Ivan Moody wanted that reflection to leave room for what came next. “20 years is a milestone, not a destination,” he said in the same announcement. He described the album as preserving the qualities listeners associated with Five Finger Death Punch while establishing a direction for further music.
Bathory returned to that balance when the digital album arrived. In the July release announcement, he explained that the group wanted to retain its recognizable sound while finding something new to write. He also singled out Moody’s refusal to prescribe a meaning for his lyrics. Discussing “Nails In The Coffin,” Bathory offered his own interpretation of the song as overcoming the setbacks that had threatened the band, while emphasizing that listeners could reach different conclusions.
The album campaign overlaps with Five Finger Death Punch’s 20th Anniversary World Tour. Its North American leg features Cody Jinks and Eva Under Fire and is scheduled to conclude October 23 at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia. Jinks is absent from the Phoenix and Albuquerque dates. An announced UK and European leg with Lamb of God and Bleed From Within follows in early 2027.
For listeners buying the album physically, the options include standard editions and retailer exclusives with different artwork and vinyl colors. The band’s official store lists an exclusive silver pressing and picture disc alongside the CD. Independent retailers also have dedicated vinyl, CD and cassette editions.
The physical rollout continues on October 9, when the UK and European vinyl editions are scheduled for release.
