Yellowcard have released “Hell With Me” featuring Steve Aoki, pairing the new collaboration with an official lyric video. The song arrives September 18 alongside the digital deluxe edition of Better Days, which expands the album to 14 tracks through Better Noise Music.
Aoki and Yellowcard first released a collaboration in 2023, when the producer remixed “Ocean Avenue.” That project revisited the band’s 2003 single; this one started with an idea Aoki already had waiting. Vocalist and guitarist Ryan Key said in the release announcement that Aoki approached the band with something they could develop together.
“He had a demo laying around for this song that he thought would be fun to collaborate on,” Key said. Their work became “Hell With Me,” with longtime Yellowcard producer Neal Avron returning to mix the track. Aoki said the song had been in progress for some time, although neither artist specified when the sessions began.
The collaboration follows a substantial recording reunion of Yellowcard’s own. The original Better Days arrived in October 2025 as their first album in nearly a decade, with Travis Barker producing and playing drums across its original tracks. What became a full album had started with a much smaller commitment: time in the studio to see how the musicians worked together.
One of the deluxe edition’s additions catches that partnership at its beginning. Released August 21, “Calvary Drive” was the first demo Yellowcard worked on with Barker and songwriter Nick Long. Key said they spent a weekend getting a feel for the collaboration, without knowing that the song would start the process that became Better Days. Hearing it again gave him a chance to trace how their approach changed as the record developed.
Barker recalled the sessions growing beyond that initial experiment. A day of working together became further bookings, then weeks in the studio and eventually an entire album. He credited the involvement of the whole band in that process. “Calvary Drive” remained unreleased when the original album arrived, giving the expanded edition a piece of the record’s beginnings alongside the new Aoki collaboration.
The remaining additions revisit two songs already on the album. Good Charlotte’s version of “Bedroom Posters,” released earlier in 2026, joins the track list alongside “Better Days” in its “Asleep Version.” The original recordings of both songs remain in the running order, with the four additional tracks following the original album’s ten songs. The expanded edition is a digital release.
Yellowcard’s next scheduled appearance is September 25 at Oceans Calling in Ocean City, Maryland. In November, they join Good Charlotte for dates across Europe and the United Kingdom.
