blink-182’s “First Date” characters are getting an officially licensed figure collection from Encore! Toy Co. Preorders opened September 24, 2026, for the limited edition vinyl figures, which depict Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker as their alter egos from the music video.
The collection celebrates the 25th anniversary of Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, released June 12, 2001. “First Date” was one of the album’s singles alongside “The Rock Show” and “Stay Together for the Kids.” For the figures, the focus is on the characters the band played in the video: Hoppus as Spaulding, DeLonge as Boomer and Barker as Travis. All three stand seven inches tall.
The accessories follow their roles in the band. Hoppus comes with a bass, DeLonge with a guitar, and Barker with drumsticks and a bass drum. Each figure includes three interchangeable hands and is packaged in a clear bag with an illustrated header card. Sculptor alarconos created the figures, while Jeremiah Purinton handled the packaging artwork.
Encore! Toy Co. is a subsidiary of Rockabilia, and the project was proposed by Frankie Blydenburgh, a co-owner of both companies. His connection to blink-182 began well before the album that inspired the collection. “Blink-182 has been a huge part of my life since I discovered them in '97, and they were really the catalyst for me getting into punk rock,” he said in the press release. Blydenburgh described working with the band’s team on the project nearly three decades after first becoming a fan.
The figures can be ordered individually or together, with the complete trio priced at $225 before shipping. Preorders are exclusive to Encore! Toy Co., and the company expects the figures to ship in February 2027.
