Boardwalk Rock will return to Ocean City, Maryland, May 14 through 16, 2027, with a longer weekend than its first edition. The newly announced dates run from Friday through Sunday, extending the festival to three days after a pause in 2026.
The festival debuted May 17 and 18, 2025, at Ocean City Inlet Beach. Def Leppard, Nickelback, Shinedown and Rob Zombie were among the artists who performed during that opening weekend. Its Saturday and Sunday schedule established the event as a spring addition to the coastal town’s festival calendar.
Plans for a second edition stalled over artist bookings. In a November 2025 report from WBOC, Ocean City Tourism and Business Development Director Tom Perlozzo said the loss of prospective headliners and the long lead time required to secure replacements had complicated the 2026 event. Promoter C3 Presents decided against proceeding amid the uncertainty. Perlozzo described the decision as financial and logistical, rather than a response to safety concerns.
At the time, the town and C3 were aiming for 2027, with more time to secure artists and announce plans early enough for visitors to arrange travel. The new dates give that proposed return a place on the calendar, while adding a day to the original format.
