Bullet For My Valentine will release their eighth studio album, Social Apocalypse, on March 19, 2027, through Spinefarm. The announcement includes the album’s title track and video, two guest vocalists and a UK and European headline tour that begins before the record arrives.
“Social Apocalypse” is the band’s first new song in four years. Its accompanying video was directed, shot and edited by Chris Wade and filmed at Silvertown and Collins Music Hall in London.
For frontman Matt Tuck, the album’s subject matter comes from watching the world change and considering what those changes mean for younger generations. In the announcement, he described the difficulty of finding optimism amid international conflict and growing hostility between people. “People are being pitted against each other. The world is full of conflict instead of unity,” he said. His perspective as a father informs that concern, while the record also turns inward to examine the personal strain of living through those conditions.
The band returned to producer Carl Bown to develop the material. Tuck credited Bown with challenging the musicians throughout the process as they refined the songs. “Carl doesn’t let you settle,” he said, describing a producer willing to speak up and push the band further.
Two of the album’s ten songs feature guest singers. Against The Current vocalist Chrissy Costanza joins Tuck for a duet on “In The Absence of You,” while Lorna Shore’s Will Ramos appears on “I Don’t Trust Tomorrow.” Both collaborations are part of the main album, alongside the title track, “Acid Rain,” “Fragile” and “CVLT.”
Preorders opened with a limited first pressing available for 72 hours. The band’s official store lists a hand numbered vinyl edition with a white label, an alternative cover CD and a bundle pairing the two. A wider selection of standard and deluxe vinyl editions, plus a signed CD, will become available to preorder on September 28. Digital presaves are also open.
The live campaign starts January 21 in Lisbon and finishes February 27 in Manchester, taking in 26 shows across the UK and Europe. Pendulum appear as special guests throughout the run, with Dark Divine opening. The routing includes a February 26 return to London’s The O2, where Bullet For My Valentine will headline after sharing the bill with Trivium on their sold out arena date in 2025.
General ticket sales begin Wednesday, September 30, 2026. The official store also lists a September 27 deadline at 9 a.m. BST for album preorders that qualify for early ticket access.
