Iron Maiden have changed their plans to take 2027 off the road, adding 16 North American shows to finish their Run For Your Lives tour. The spring run opens April 14 at the Tacoma Dome in Washington and concludes May 16 with a headline appearance at Boardwalk Rock in Ocean City, Maryland. Bullet For My Valentine and The Raven Age will support the headline dates.
The decision followed the band’s recent North American run. In the tour announcement, bassist Steve Harris said the members had enjoyed those shows enough to reconsider their break and discussed returning to regions they had missed, particularly the Northwest and Southeast.
“It just seems fair to our many fans there who have given us tremendous support for so many years,” Harris said. “We can’t get everywhere but we can try!”
Run For Your Lives centers on Iron Maiden’s first nine studio albums, continuing the celebration of the band’s 50th anniversary. The earlier North American leg featured Megadeth, with Anthrax joining selected shows. For this return, Maiden are changing the supporting lineup while retaining the tour’s production and its focus on their early catalog.
Bullet For My Valentine will join the run shortly after the scheduled March 19, 2027 release of their new album, Social Apocalypse. The Raven Age complete the bill after supporting Maiden at several South and Central American shows. The announcement identifies this as Maiden’s first tour bill consisting of three British bands since 1983.
The itinerary combines arenas and amphitheaters. After Tacoma, Maiden will play Vancouver and Portland before traveling through California, Arizona and Texas. The May dates include two Florida stops, followed by Atlanta, Raleigh and Hartford. UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York, hosts the last standalone headline show on May 11.
Two festival appearances complete the tour: Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio, on May 14, followed by Boardwalk Rock two days later. Maiden plan to use the full Run For Your Lives production at both festivals as well as the headline shows. Harris said the festival bookings also give the band an opportunity to play for people beyond their own established audience.
Eddie’s Dive Bars will return alongside the concerts. Manager Rod Smallwood pointed to the fan gatherings as part of what made the previous North American leg worth repeating, describing the camaraderie surrounding the shows as another reason to visit additional cities.
