Kid Rock Releases “Heal My Faith” Featuring Eminem

Kid Rock has released Halfway 2 Jesus, his first Christian album, with Eminem appearing on “Heal My Faith.” The 17 track record arrived October 17, 2026, through Top Dog Records, accompanied by an official lyric video for the collaboration.

Eminem’s contribution changed during the final stages of the album. Rock told Billboard that he initially approached the rapper about “Heal My Faith” roughly a year earlier. Eminem later heard “7 Sins” and wanted to record a verse for that song, which became their planned collaboration. After the track listing was announced, however, Eminem suggested they revisit the original choice.

The resulting verse looks back on their friendship, including time spent at the Oakwood Apartments and Rock’s encouragement at an early Slim Shady release show. For Rock, those memories made the recording personal. Their musical history includes Eminem’s appearance on “Fuck Off” from Rock’s 1998 album Devil Without a Cause.

The finished “Heal My Faith” recording reached Rock on October 11. “It brought me to tears,” he told The Detroit News. The change also left an opening on “7 Sins.” Lil Wayne agreed to contribute, and his verse was mixed and mastered October 14, meeting the deadline to get the album to streaming services.

Rock has described forgiveness and reconciliation as central to the project. In the Billboard interview, he said he wanted to ease divisions while acknowledging that his own beliefs and personality had not fundamentally changed. Working with Eminem, whose political views differ from his, became one expression of that intention.

Halfway 2 Jesus follows 2022’s Bad Reputation. Although it is his first album devoted to Christian music, faith has appeared throughout Rock’s catalog, including “Only God Knows Why,” “Lonely Road of Faith” and the 2007 album Rock n Roll Jesus. The new record makes that subject its central focus, following the lead single “James 1:17 (Jesus Is King).”

The recording also incorporates AI tools. In a separate Detroit News interview, Rock said he used Suno for elements of tracks including “Freedom” and “7 Sins,” describing it as a way to expand arrangements from ideas he played or sang. He said the musicians still performed together on the bulk of the songs.

Gary LeVox and Jimmie Allen appear together on the title track. The released album retains both songs involved in the guest switch, with Lil Wayne on track three, “7 Sins,” and Eminem on track five, “Heal My Faith.”
