Ozzfest has confirmed that its 2027 return will include the UK and US. A new post from the festival’s official Facebook account names both countries and asks fans where they would like the events to take place, adding fresh confirmation to plans Sharon Osbourne outlined earlier this year.
The announcement follows months of discussion about how Ozzfest would return. On the March 4 episode of The Osbournes podcast, Sharon and Jack Osbourne discussed starting in Birmingham before taking the festival to America. “We want to do two days in Aston Villa and then come to America,” Sharon said. They also invited fans to suggest American locations and artists they would like to see.
The British venue in those discussions is Villa Park, home of Aston Villa. Sharon subsequently told Metal Hammer in an interview published in August that Ozzfest would take place there, while explaining that audience interest would help determine whether it ran for one or two nights. The new Facebook announcement confirms the two countries without setting out the number of events or a touring itinerary.
Choosing the performers is another part of the revival Sharon has discussed publicly. During the podcast, she said she wanted young talent involved because that was what Ozzy would have wanted. Jack pointed to the original festival’s second stage as a place where developing bands could establish themselves. Their discussion put emerging acts into the plans for the return, although the new announcement does not identify any bookings.
That approach was central to Ozzfest’s original run. Ozzy and Sharon launched the festival in 1996 with events in Phoenix and San Bernardino before it grew into a touring fixture. Bands including Slipknot, System of a Down and Limp Bizkit played Ozzfest early in their careers, sharing the wider festival bill with established metal acts.
Its last edition took place at the Forum in Inglewood, California, in 2018. A return to Villa Park would also take Ozzfest to the site of Ozzy’s final performance. He appeared there with Black Sabbath at Back to the Beginning on July 5, 2025, before his death on July 22.
The latest post does not list event dates, American cities, performers or ticket information. Its next step is explicit: “More Info Coming Soon!!!” For now, the festival is inviting location suggestions as it prepares its UK and US return.
