23 Dec INTERVIEW WITH gP.
The band is gP. Interesting rhythms with a beat that is sure to move you. Claiming that Ghost Parade died and therefore gP. is born. Out of Oakland California, this band puts a spin on all things that are trip culture. This is good. The new track “Tape You” is a new sexual anthem for many festival goers this coming year. Don’t be fooled, it’s a good track and a good band. Check what gP. has to say about music, name, and technology.
Why the name gP.?
Stands for Ghost Parade, but we wanted to alter it so people would have a much harder time finding our band. Haha.
How was the band formed?
Just some musicians I’ve met along the way that were down to do this with me.
How would you describe your sound?
What was the recording process like for the song “Tape You”?
We went through a lot of performance revisions of that song before finally recording it. Took it on a few tours before locking it in.
Will you be going out on tour in 2019?
When playing live, what kind of energy do you look for?
Balls to the wall. If there’s anywhere to go absolutely nuts with your body besides sex its on stage.
Do you have a favorite song that you perform?
They’re all a blast.
There have been many changes due to new technology in the music industry. What do you think is the good and the bad with these additions?
I like having every song ever made at my fingertips. I don’t like to focus on why that’s a bad thing. Just keep pushing out songs.
What does 2019 have in store for gP.?
A lot of new music in a much more intentional direction of sound. A much more cohesive collection of songs.
Where can people find you
gPisreal.com, facebook.com/gPisreal, and instagram.com/gPisreal.
Anything else that you would like to add?
A thing is a thing, not what is said of that thing.
