The Pretty Reckless released “About You (Bonus Version)” on October 16, 2026, adding Foo Fighters members Dave Grohl and Pat Smear to a song from their fifth studio album, Dear God. Grohl contributes drums, guitar and backing vocals to the new recording, while Smear plays guitar.
The invitation came from Taylor Momsen, who wanted to revisit one of her favorite songs on the album. Rather than leaving the idea with an intermediary, she called Grohl and Smear herself and asked them to take part.
“I called Dave and Pat and asked them if they’d lend their magic to it,” Momsen said in comments published by ThePRP. She described the session as a chance to make music with friends and said she was pleased with the result.
The original “About You” appeared on Dear God, released June 26 through Fearless Records. Momsen, guitarist Ben Phillips and producer Jonathan Wyman produced the album. The October release gives the song a separate bonus version, with both Foo Fighters musicians contributing guitar alongside Grohl’s additional instrumental and vocal parts.
The studio collaboration also precedes two shared bills. The Pretty Reckless are scheduled to support Foo Fighters in India on January 29, 2027, in Bengaluru and January 31 in Mumbai.
