Lords Of Acid have released Mundo Bizarro, their first studio album since 2018’s Pretty in Kink. The Belgian group’s seventh studio album arrived digitally October 15, 2026, through Metropolis Records, collecting 11 tracks after a run of singles that began in April.
The record features Carla Harvey, the former Butcher Babies vocalist who joined Lords Of Acid in 2025. She sings on “Dream Boy,” which appeared as a single in May. Its official video was directed by Vicente Cordero and filmed in Las Vegas with fans, friends and family taking part. The production combined modern 4K footage with material shot on a camcorder from the 1990s.
For founder Praga Khan, the album’s title reflects a world in which reality has become increasingly difficult to separate from fabrication. In an October 14 interview with Music Fiends, conducted by AL1CE vocalist Tash Cox, he discussed artificial intelligence, deepfakes and political upheaval as part of that inspiration. He wanted humor to remain central to the record, drawing on musical interests that included reggae and contemporary Mexican music alongside the group’s electronic foundations.
That curiosity also shaped the vocal performances. The album incorporates five languages, and Khan gave Mari Kattman phonetic lyrics for “Ich Will Nur Das,” which she sings entirely in German despite not speaking the language. Her American accent was part of the appeal. “We didn’t want her pronunciation to be too polished or perfect, as her accent gives the track extra personality,” Khan said in comments published by Spill Magazine. He described a song whose verses express sexual desire while its chorus shifts toward romantic idealism.
Other collaborations had already introduced listeners to the album’s range of voices. Princess Superstar appears on “Karaoke Superstar,” while Tony & The Kiki feature on “El Mundo Está Loco.” Those songs, “Dream Boy” and the Kattman collaboration were the four singles issued before the full album.
Two of those collaborators are also sharing the road with the band. Princess Superstar and Tony & The Kiki join MZ NEON on the second leg of the Cheeky Freaky U.S. tour. The run began October 15 in Norwalk, Connecticut, and is scheduled to conclude October 31 at Underground Arts in Philadelphia.
Physical editions of Mundo Bizarro follow November 6. The album is available to order on CD and limited yellow vinyl.
